In short

• The app runs entirely on your device. We operate no server that collects your personal data.
• Your location is used on-device only, to compute sunset, prayer times and the qibla direction. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
• We use Google Analytics (Firebase) to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app; you can turn it off in Settings.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or require an account.

Data we handle

1. Location (optional)

When you enable “Use device location,” the app reads your (approximate or precise) coordinates to compute sunset, prayer times and the qibla accurately. These coordinates are processed locally on your device and stored in the app’s private storage; they are never transmitted off the device. Without the location permission, the app works using a city you pick manually.

2. Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect aggregated, anonymous data via Google Analytics, including:

• Usage events (e.g. opening a screen, switching the time system, adding a widget or alarm).
• Device type and model, Android version, app version, language and approximate country.
• A random app-instance identifier (Firebase Installation ID) that does not reveal your identity.

These statistics do not include your name, precise location, or the contents of your alarms. They are processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can disable collection entirely in Settings → Privacy → Usage analytics.

3. Notifications and alarms

Prayer notifications, alarms and reminders are created and shown locally on your device. None are sent over the internet.

4. “Contact us” form

When you contact us, the app opens your email client and your message is sent directly to mmido80@gmail.com. You may optionally attach technical info (device model, Android version, city, calculation method), which you see in full before sending. We use your message only to reply and act on your feedback.

Permissions and why we ask

• Location — to compute sunset, prayer times and the qibla from your position (optional).
• Notifications — to show prayer alerts and alarms.
• Exact alarms — so the adhan and alarms fire precisely on time.
• Boot completed — to re-arm alarms after a restart.
• Do Not Disturb — for automatic silencing at prayer time, then restoring sound (optional).
• Vibrate & full-screen intent — to show the alarm screen over the lock screen.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. The only third-party processor is Google (Analytics), limited to the anonymous data described above. Your settings and location stay on your device and are fully deleted when you uninstall the app.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages, is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when new features are added. The updated version will be posted on this page with the revision date at the top.
