1. Who we are and which app this policy covers

This privacy policy applies to the Android app FSolar Monitor, published on Google Play by the developer Mohamad Mohamad. The same app appears on the device's home screen and inside the app under the name Felicity Monitor.

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “the developer” mean Mohamad Mohamad, and “the app” means FSolar Monitor (Felicity Monitor).

FSolar Monitor is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or operated by Felicity Solar. “Felicity Solar” is used only to describe the inverters and the cloud service the app connects to on your behalf.

2. Summary

FSolar Monitor lets you monitor your own solar inverter, battery and consumption. The developer operates no servers, does not collect your data on any system of ours, and never sells or shares your data for advertising. What you enter is stored on your device and is sent only to the services needed for the features you use: the Felicity Solar cloud (to read your system), Telegram (only if you turn on Telegram alerts), and Google Analytics for Firebase (anonymous usage statistics).

3. Data you enter and how it is stored

Felicity Solar account details

To read your inverter, the app needs the email and password of your account on shine.felicitysolar.com. You can add more than one account. These details are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage, and the password and session token are encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore that never leaves the device. The password is sent (encrypted, over HTTPS) only to the Felicity Solar server when signing in. It is never sent to the developer or to any other party. You can also use the public demo plant without entering any account.

Telegram settings (optional)

If you choose to receive alerts on Telegram, you enter a bot token and chat ID. They are stored on your device and used only to send alert and report messages to your own chat through api.telegram.org.

Settings and battery information

Alert thresholds, language, report schedule, battery cut-off level and battery capacity you enter are stored on your device only.

4. Data the app reads and creates on your device

• Inverter and battery readings (solar, battery, grid, load, temperatures, battery management system (BMS) data such as cell voltages and health) are read from the Felicity Solar cloud for the accounts you added.
• Consumption history and battery forecast: the app saves daily totals and an analysis of your battery (estimated capacity, usage patterns, expected runtime) in files in its private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to the developer.
• Home-screen widget: shows the latest saved reading; it uses the same local data and sends nothing elsewhere.

5. Services the app communicates with

All connections use encrypted HTTPS. Data held by these services is governed by their own policies: Google Privacy Policy, Telegram Privacy Policy, and the privacy policy of Felicity Solar for your Felicity Solar account.

6. Analytics

Google Analytics for Firebase records technical events: app opened, screen viewed, sign-in succeeded or failed, data refreshed or failed to refresh, alert or report sent, settings saved, Telegram test sent, dashboard page swiped, and the selected app language, together with general device information (model, Android version, approximate country) and a random app-instance identifier.

✔ We never send to analytics your email, password, Telegram token, device serial numbers, or any reading from your solar system.

7. Permissions

• Internet / network state — connect to Felicity Solar, Telegram and Firebase.
• Notifications — show the monitoring status and urgent alerts.
• Foreground service (data sync) — keep monitoring and alerting while the app is closed.
• Run at startup — resume monitoring after the phone restarts.
• Wake lock — finish each short refresh cycle without interruption.

✘ The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or your files.

8. Data retention and deletion

• Remove an account in the app (Accounts → Delete): its credentials, readings, history and battery analysis are deleted from your device immediately.
• Uninstall the app: all app data on your device is permanently erased.
• Stop Telegram messages: clear the bot token in Settings.
• Your Felicity Solar account is managed by Felicity Solar; the developer has no access to it.
• The developer stores no copy of your data, so there is nothing on our side to delete. You can still contact us with any request at mmido80@gmail.com.

9. Security

Passwords and session tokens are encrypted with the Android Keystore, and all network traffic uses HTTPS with standard certificate validation. Your accounts, readings and widget settings are excluded from Android cloud backup, so credentials are not copied off your device. Other settings (such as alert thresholds and the Telegram bot token) may be included in your own Google backup if you have Android backup turned on.

10. Children

The app is a technical tool for owners of solar power systems and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes are mentioned in the app's release notes on Google Play.
